Job Description:
The Minute Taker is responsible for taking minutes at all Board of Directors meetings, the distribution of the minutes to the members of the Board of Directors, and the archiving of minutes in the Google drive. Working closely with the Board of Directors secretary, the Board Minute Taker will ensure that minutes are taken accurately, ensure the continuity of the minutes with the minutes from previous meetings, and ensure that they are stored in the appropriate place in the Google drive.

Task Descriptions:
– Accurately reporting attendance of Board members at Board of Directors meetings
– Accurately transcribing all motions presented at Board of Directors meetings
– Accurately recording the results of all votes at Board of Directors meetings
– Verifying spelling, grammar, and formatting for ease of consultation
– Verifying continuity with minutes from previous meetings
– Ensuring that the previous Board of Directors meeting minutes are linked in the agenda within the appropriate time frame
– Properly archiving the Board of Directors meeting minutes in the Google Drive
– Transmitting completed minutes to the members of the Board of Directors in a timely manner

– Excellent transcribing skills 
– Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines
– Excellent communication skills, written and oral
– Excellent organizational skills
– Ability to work autonomously
– Proficiency with computers and online file sharing (Microsoft office, Google applications)

– A Concordia undergraduate or graduate student
– Experience working with Non-Profit Organizations or Cooperative organizations
– Experience with Non-Hierarchical workplace
– Previous minute-taking experience
